A little about me. I am a keen writer and painter in my spare time. I’ve enjoyed learning about other cultures since I was little. This led me to study a BA Hons Humanities Degree in which I utilised my love of philosophy. During this time, I volunteered with a theatre company who supported vulnerable young adults and children to act, sing and dance. It was wonderful to see young people build confidence. I moved to the social care sector, working with older adults with dementia. From this I became an Activities Coordinator for a charity accommodating adults of all ages with physical and learning disabilities. I then went on to work predominantly with adults with autism and support them with social activities.
I stumbled across Skybound’s advert by chance, only noticing the area was nearby my childhood school. Having been with Skybound since March 2022, I have been introduced to the world of Applied Behaviour Analysis. In a short space of time, I can see for myself the difference ABA can make in the lives of individuals.
I qualified as a Registered Behaviour Technician in October 2022. Having completed my RBT training I decided I wanted to not only learn more about ABA, but actually study it. So, in October 2022 I began my ABA Masters journey with the aim of becoming a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst.
